First off, you need some basic materials that apply to crafting in any game. Here is a list of what you need for an in-game bow:

• 2x sticks

Getting sticks is the easiest among all the above items. You can order Kelvin to get some for you, or you can just search for thin trees, open your inventory, equip your ax and hit them with your axe. From there you will get a single stick. When it comes to finding a rope, it can be difficult to find if you don't already have it in your inventory.
