GTA 6 Insider Leaks release and reveal dates
A prominent Rockstar Games and Grand Theft Auto insider has given an update on when GTA 6 will be released and when the reveal trailer will be released. The good news is that both are closer than you might think. The bad news is that there are no specific dates for either of them just yet, probably because Rockstar Games doesn't have any specific days in mind. It certainly has time slots for both, but that's different than picking a day.
Be that as it may, according to insider Tez2 - who has proven reliable and reputable on numerous occasions - the long-awaited next installment in the GTA franchise will be revealed sometime this year, likely during the Christmas window, and released sometime during the holiday of 2024 However, the insider warns that Rockstar Games may have to cut parts of the game and later release them as free DLC in order to meet these dates.
“Your desired date, which is always changing and not set in stone, is the 2024 holiday. It has been postponed several times in recent years. Unfortunately, it could also slip into early 2025,” says Tez2. Speaking of which, most companies are returning with “forced return to office” policies to return to the pre-pandemic days. Activision Blizzard is already encountering internal backlash. Rockstar is no different. The debate and the consequences of the policy are a completely different topic. With almost the entire workforce in office, Rockstar could be more determined in making an announcement this year. However, the loss of life talent could lead to further delays."
The insider continues, "Personally, I take an announcement for granted this year. I don't think upper management is capable of delaying the 2025/2026 holidays any longer. Cutting out more parts of the game to be packaged into DLCs later may be more lasting for management than another delay."
