How to Get Scholarship Gestures in Elden Ring (Explained)

Want to get your hands on the scholarship emote in Elden Ring? Here's how to unlock it.


While there are multiple emotes to unlock in Elden Ring, don't miss out on the erudition emote. Emotes or gestures are not only used to pose, but also to solve quests and unlock towers. The Scholarship is one such emote that can be used to unlock the Rebuilt Rim Tower Puzzle. Similar to other gestures, you unlock it by completing certain tasks. So what can you do to unlock the scholarship emote? Here's everything you should know.

How to get the Scholarship Emote in Elden Ring

In order to get the Gesture/Emote of Scholarship, you must complete the Sorcerer Thops questline. Where you get the Gesture Scholarship by offering Thops an Academy Glintstone Key. Well, it's not as easy as it sounds. The Academy Glintstone Key we need here should only be obtained within the Raya Lucaria Academy.


For those unaware, Sorcerer Thops can be found sitting on a bench in the Church of Irith. Just exhaust the dialogues to move on to the next step to get the erudition emote in Elden Ring.


Now you can start your journey to find the Academy Glintstone Key to offer to Thops. Don't offer him the key found in Liurnia of the Lakes. As mentioned above, you can only give him the second Academy Glintstone Key found in Raya Lucaria Academy. This is the only way to get the scholarship emote in Elden Ring.


Since the path to Academy Glintstone Key is difficult, here are the directions for you:

• Fast travel to the Debate Parlor Site of Grace at Raya Lucaria Academy.

• Continue outside and reach the area with huge stairs.
• Go up on the right side while attacking the enemies.
• Climb another set of small stairs at the top and turn left.
• From there, jump over the railing to land back on the stairs.
• Climb up these stairs and turn left to jump and land on the roof.
• After that, go on the left side of the roof to reach the ladder as shown in the image below:

• Now climb up the ladder and go to the other side of the bridge.
• Turn right and jump down, landing on the rooftops below.

• You should now reach a building with a sloping roof. Jump onto the roof of this building (on the right).
• Enter the 1st open window and land on the thin platform.
• There is a chandelier hanging below that you have to jump onto.
• Atop this chandelier is the Academy Glintstone Key.
