Item Durability in Diablo 4 and Item Repair (Blacksmith's Guide)
Here is a guide on item durability in Diablo 4 and how to fix broken items in game.
Are you wondering what is item durability in Diablo 4 and how to repair broken items? Then you've come to the right place because this guide is all you need. If you've played the earlier games in the franchise like Diablo 2 Resurrected, you probably know what item durability is. Since this can be a confusing factor for many players, it's a common question that we've seen. If you have problems with item durability and you want to understand this game mechanic, we recommend that you continue reading this guide because we will explain everything below.
What is item durability in Diablo 4?
When your character dies in Diablo 4, your equipment loses 10% durability. Once the durability reaches 0, the item will be marked as defective and you will no longer be able to use it unless you repair it. Of course, you can scrap the items to get other materials. However, the item simply remains in your inventory. As long as you don't get it fixed, you're just blocking your own inventory space.
Currently, the items you collect seem to start out with a durability of 100. However, it will probably be changed and updated soon, otherwise there would be no difference between the rare gear and the common gear. Remember that even rare items lose their durability if you die too many times in Diablo 4.
