NVIDIA GeForce 531.26 hotfix driver fixes NVIDIA Container High CPU usage
NVIDIA has released a new hotfix driver for its graphics cards that addresses a CPU issue that can occur after exiting a game. This driver is a must for any NVIDIA user, unless of course you want to stick with an older driver.
More specifically, the NVIDIA GeForce 531.26 hotfix driver fixes the higher CPU usage by NVIDIA Container after exiting a game. Note that this CPU performance issue is not related to the DX12 driver overhead. So don't expect your games to run faster.
This new driver also fixes some random bugchecks on certain laptops with GeForce GTX 10/MX250/350 series GPUs.
You can download this new driver here. As always, this hotfix includes all the optimizations and improvements of the previous WHQL driver.
Finally, here is the full changelog for this new driver.
