Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is free on Steam
Best Borderlands 2 DLC as a standalone game with full co-op play support.
Borderlands 2 character Tiny Tina became so popular that it got its own spin-off eight years later in the form of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. But before that, it was the focus of Borderlands 2 DLC Assault in Dragon Keep. This expansion was presented independently in 2021 to promote the then-imminent Wonderland. As skimpy as it sounds, it's well worth playing: it's been the crown jewel of Borderlands 2's expansions (itself the best Borderlands game), mainly because the slurred, junk-loving Tina is a great pleasure to spend. with time
Whatever the case, it's easier to try because Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is free on Steam until March 24. It's a matter of adding it to your account and keeping it forever, so even if you don't want to play now, consider it an investment in your gaming future.
Assault on Dragon Keep provides a sketch of what Wonderland has become, a pen-and-paper role-playing game to the Borderlands universe. There are weapons that fire swords, yes, but there are also magical spells that basically work like magic grenades. If you're like me and think you're fed up with the Borderlands 3 series, the Tiny Tina games are still worth checking out: Jody confirmed this by writing in her Wonderlands review that it's better than Borderlands 3.
Dragon Keep may only be a standalone DLC campaign, but it still features six Vault Hunters, each with their own progression paths, and online co-op play is also supported. It does have the Claptrap feature though.
