How to play the Kory Drum score in Genshin Impact 3.6
Play the right rhythm to complete the Real Sound Awakening quest.
Playing the Genshin Impact Kory Drum score is part of the Khvarena of Good and Evil world quest that you receive in the new desert region of Sumeru. In Awakening Real Sound you meet up with Nasejuna who asks you to track down some music scores and recover the long lost Kory drums to bring back to the tree to play.
This quest is unlocked after entering the new region and speaking to Zurban in the center of Vourukasha Oasis. You may also have trouble finding the Udumbara Stamps (opens in new tab) and their hidden blossoms. Otherwise, here's how to decode each Kory drum score so you can play it and complete the quest.
How to play the Kory drum score
After finding the Kory drum scores - and the Kory drums themselves, as Nasejuna asks you to find them in the Awakening Real Sound quest - you need to place the five drums around the tree and play those scores on each of them. The tricky part is that there's no real way of knowing what the notes mean in each score.
To play a score, you must perform a variety of actions on each drum at specific intervals. Here's what each score symbol means:
- Full Leaf: Dive Attack
- Half Leaf: Normal attack
- Blank sheet: wait
So in the case of the Vedana score above, that would be: normal attack, wait, normal attack, dashing attack. You can also see these symbols on the tree paintings above where you picked up the Kory Drum Scores earlier in the quest.
Check the score on each drum set before you start so you can figure out what you need to do beforehand. When you activate the drum, it will glow gold for you to perform the first action, and then glow gold again for each subsequent action you need to perform. If you need to perform an empty leaf symbol, just wait and the gold will fade before turning back to gold for the following action. Get all the beats right and you'll beat any challenge.
